The last two seasons we have had more than 60,000 visitors (passengers) who have come to the region of Aysén. 70% of them return to the region and 88% say they would recommend the destination of Patagonian Aysén.
During the summer period, the Aysén region receives the landfall of different lines of international cruise ships that come mainly from Valparaiso, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas.
The cruise ships that visit the region mostly dock at Chacabuco Port, located 15 kilometres of Puerto Aysén, which is divided between the Chacabuco Port Enterprise (Emporcha) and Oxxean Maritime Enterprises. Both companies have passenger terminals for visitors, so that they may take shelter and wait at a comfortable space for their approach-boats or buses to take them to their tours.
If you come to Patagonia Aysén on one of these cruise ships, you may hire a tourist package that takes you to the different iconic destinations, among which, the most highlighted ones are the Simpson River National Reserve, Puerto Aysén and its surroundings and Coyhaique.
There are two ways to access these tours: you may hire varied excursions aboard the cruise, which have been previously coordinated between the cruise line and the local tour operators; or, in case you prefer to hire directly from the providers, you may find different touristic services close to the port, which offer to visit the main attractions on trips that take no longer than one hour to arrive at each destination. The objective of these activities is that you may immerse in the culture of Patagonia Aysén.
